This video monitor has been great! We had a little difficulty in the beginning because the first camera would not link up to the monitor. However, customer service was very helpful and shipped the new camera to us in record time. I was so paranoid about moving the baby from his bassinet (which was in our room) to the crib (which was in the baby’s room.) I knew the only way I could have peace of mind was if I could see that he was okay, and this system has allowed me to do just that. I have not had problems with the screen freezing up, nor have I had any problems with sound interference. The only minor problem I have had is with the screen going black for about a second and then coming back on. This can happen several times for the duration that I have the monitor on. However, there are other times when it does not do that. Overall, I am very, very happy with this system and definitely recommend it to other parents.

The overall quality of this monitor is good. Very good sensitivity, and volume. You will definitely hear what is going on. The reception range is disappointing though. With a couple of walls in the way, it barely makes it down the hall. I have been using this for two weeks, but will probably be returning it once I find one that works better. Even with the voice activated mode, it makes a lot of static. Every time it loses it’s link, it beeps and makes noise when it reconnects. We don’t know if our baby made a little noise that triggered it, or if it was a lost connection. The parent units will operate portably on the rechargeable batteries, but they are rather large and clunky. Also, I was very disappointed to find that it doesn’t have an accommodation in the nursery unit for batteries in case of power loss.

Got the Fisher Price Lights & Sounds as a gift, but when it was defective we tried the Sony, and I find it to be well worth the price. The reception is very clear, even when baby is at the very front of our house & we are out back on the deck.

My husband and I are so thrilled with the quality of this monitor. We have a 2 yr old little girl and a 8 week old baby girl. We have been using a Graco 2 channel monitor for our oldest since she was an infant and have had no problems minus a few static issues here and there. We just weren’t comfortable not monitoring our 2 yr old at night still so we needed another monitor for our baby’s room. We purchased a First Years monitor and returned it immediately! It had horrible interference with our Graco monitor not to mention it was very cheaply made. We looked into purchasing a digital montior vs. an analog (channel) one and we just could not see paying well into the $100’s for a baby monitor w/ just one receiver. We finally settled on the Sony Baby Call and just prayed that it would work. Viola! it has been wonderful. We can put the Graco receiver and the Sony receiver next to one another and there is absolutely zero feedback. We live in a townhouse and we are in the center of the row and we don’t not get any interfernce from cell phones, other monitors, etc…The Sony monitor has such a clear sound and an unbelievable mic on the base. I love the voice activation feature; my baby is such a noisy sleeper that I was not sleeping at all with her in our room. So when we moved her into her room I was nervous that the voice activator would not turn on when she cried however it picks up all her little grunts and groans w/o being so loud that I can’t sleep. I would recommend this monitor to anyone, especially parents who have more than one kiddo and need to monitor both. It fit into our budget and met our high demands…Overall, fantastic

We purchased this for our nursery after a failed first attempt at a monitor that was not nearly loud enough for my wife and I.
The volume on this unit is simply astounding. Granted, we live in a one floor, 2 bedroom apartment and even with the monitor all the way across the house from the speaker units, we have to have the volume turned to about 25% in order to avoid feedback. This is one of those good problems to have, since we plan to move into a bigger place and this unit will grow with us.
The design is clean and has a soft, rounded look to it which is not cloying but very much suits a baby nursery. Although slightly bulky, the units are lightweight.
Getting two speaker units is a real plus.
Rechargeable batteries on the speaker units is a benefit.
Missing features:
-Temperature alert.
-Two way talk feature.
-Monitor is AC powered only. Ability to use rechargeable or standard batteries for ease of movement would have been nice.
All in all we are very happy with this product.

We’ve been using this monitor for over two months now and we love it! I especially love the feature where you don’t hear any sound at all until the baby starts making noises – so you don’t have to sit and listen to static. We have wireless internet and several cordless phones and we’ve only had one problem with feedback – all we did was change the channel (there are lots of them) and now we have no issues at all.
We did buy the system with two monitors, but I think we would have been fine with the one monitor (less money.) We always end up just carrying one of the monitors around with us when we go into a another room or go outside. The battery lasts a long time.
The range on this is great. We have a three story house and we don’t have any issues anywhere in the house. Sometimes when we go outside and there is a lot of house between where we are and where the baby is, we go out of range. But, we just set the monitor where it is in range and crank up the volume and we have no trouble hearing her. I would definitely recommend this product.

Read all the reviews, studied up, picked this one. Very happy with the selection. Quite enough to sleep, sensitive enough to hear him scratching the sheets with his little finger nails.

I bought this to monitor my dog when he’s in the back yard. It’s great to know he’s not crying or annoying the neighbors with his barking. The unit has a long range and I can monitor my dog no matter where I am in the house.
One word of caution: if you put the receiver near your PC, you may get interference. I was able to move the receiver to a table about 6 feet away and get a very clear signal.

I purchased this monitor after our monitor died while we were on vacation. Based on reviews I chose the Graco Ultra Clear II. I wanted a monitor with two handset. Most of the monitors I looked at only came with one. This monitor has been great so far. Very clear sound, no static, and works well even when we are in the front yard. I find the night light feature helpful. The volume control could be a little better but it’s a minor complaint.

We’re happy with the size and the clarity of sound of our Graco Monitor. I didn’t realize when I purchased it that it doesn’t take batteries which isn’t usually a big deal, but there are times when I’d like to have the option.

Purchased this baby monitor for use in my home. Babysit for my grandchildren during the week while Mom works. My youngest grandson is 4 months , I put this monitor in the room near his crib and I can keep track of him at all times. The monitor is very clear , no static and picks up all sounds. Just be sure you have the same channel on all the monitor and both receivers. I highly recommend this product. And I received it in just a couple days , Amazons service was great.

This is *the* monitor to have! We tried video monitors and found the video useless and the audio wanting. This lets us know when our daughter is asleep, awake, and in need of attention. It does it effectively, reliably, and unobtrusively.
When she is quiet so is the monitor. Other monitors we tried make all kinds of distracting noises on their own. When she makes noise we can hear it clearly. If we choose to turn down the volume there is still the very noticeable blue indicator lights that show how much noise there is.
There are a couple other features we have found very useful. The receiver also lets us know the temperature in her room. The intercom is also quite handy if I, for example, need to ask my wife what I need to bring up while she is tending to our daughter in her room.
This is technology designed by a company that specializes in low distortion, reliable audio communications and it shows in this excellent product.

This monitor does not interfere with any thing else in the house including iphones. It is very sensitive so you can hear breathing and works long range too. It is a great product. Only down side is that the parent unit needs to be on the charger most of the time because it uses its charge fast.

After looking at several monitors I chose this one in large part due to the reviews and comments made by other buyers. I was looking for some kind of monitor that would help me in taking care of my 94-year old mom who is confined to her bed most of the time. This is a great monitor and has really helped me relax and provided an easy way for my mom to call out to me when needed. I love the fact that I can hear when she gets out of bed to head toward the bathroom–that’s when I may be needed the most–so I can make sure I’m within range in case she needs any help. Since her energy is diminishing, it’s easy for to call me and I can answer her using the monitor. There are times when that is really handy. The monitor has also made it easier on the two day helpers who stay with my mom when I have to take care of errands, etc. They can carry the small unit to any room and even attach it to their belts. They love it.
If you are looking for soemthing that is inobtrustive but really helpful in assisting you to take care of your elderly parent, choose this monitor. Easty to use, easy to get started. I’m totally technically challenged and even I could get this monitor to work. (It is also so much better than the cheaper boxy monitors from Radio Shack that I tried with my dad a year or so ago. My mom can just call out and doesn’t have to do anything and I hear her. I can even hear her breathing when she sleeps at night so I know all is well. This ia great stress-reducer.

The system works great. We tried several systems and this is the only one we found that did not suffer from interference from all the other wireless traffic nearby. Between our own WiFi and the neighbors systems, the other monitors we tried were all plagued with static bursts and generally bad reception. This system is clear and doesn’t explode with static like the others.
I only wish the receiver unit could go just a bit louder. Even on it’s highest setting, it’s a little quieter than I’d like when its sitting across the room.

I gave this as a gift. The mom and dad — who live in Bogota, Colombia — love it. It works great for them. I saw the negative reviews, but fortunately none of those things happened to them. They are very, very happy with this product.
